Menu & wine list from Victoria Falls hotel w illus of leopard 1929

Description

Illustrated menu and wine list from the Victoria Falls Hotel with an illustration of a leopard on the front cover, perched in a tree, with a text box below giving the definition of the word 'leopard' - signed by HAZ. Menu on the inside has a wine list on the left side which lists the prices of various wines and spirits: cocktails, liqueurs, sparkling wines, mineral waters (including lemonade, ginger ale, and other sodas). Menu has been typed on the opposite side is dated February 14, 192- (date is unclear); it includes fried cape salmon anchoia , roast stuffed turkey, plum pudding, cheese straws, etc. A line running along the bottom reads "a souvenir set of six designs may be obtained on application to the Steward, with envelope suitable for posting at a price of 1s 0d." On the back there is a map of the B&M&R Railways in Mashonaland in northern Zimbabwe. 8 1/2" x 6"
