Antique Illinois 24 Jewel Bunn Special Railroad Pocket Watch.
This antique, highest grade Illinois pocket watch is 18 size (case diameter 54 mm). The dial is the correct original porcelain dial for the Bunn Special movements and has a hairline to the left of the seconds bit as you can see. Otherwise, the dial is excellent. The case is Keystone J. Boss 25 year gold filled with just a little bit of brass on the highest spots, but is definitely above average. This also has a tiny little ding on one side of the coin edge. The movement is the highly collectible 24 jewel version of the Bunn Special, with starburst damasceening, gold jewel settings, micrometer regulator, etc. Movement is nice with a few very tiny specks. Lever set, and marked adjusted, of course, and fully railroad grade.
This watch runs and keeps reasonable time: within 5 minutes or LESS per day. I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced.
